    Loretta Kemsley is the president of Women Artists and Writers International, which publishes "Moondance: Celebrating Creative Women." http://www.moondance.org
    Moondance was awarded an honorable mention in the 1999 UNESCO Web Prize Awards, Category I (Free Themes). The UNESCO Web Prize Competition is awarded in recognition of outstanding achievements by artists, designers and programmers in creating websites in the fields of competence of UNESCO. The Prize reflects the cultural and societal importance of the new information and communication technologies and their use in the promotion of the ideals of UNESCO. The UNESCO Web Prize is a sub-category of the UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts.

    She is a featured author in "MILLENNIAL MILESTONES: A CELEBRATION OF CHANGE." an ebook anthology by DiskUs Publishing ISBN 1-58495-453-1 Ms. Kemsley's short story, "Silencing The Heart," was featured in the cover blurb: "...And gather with friends who must come to terms with the death of one of the circle." "Silencing The Heart" focused on the issue of abortion.


    Her short story, "When Hobos Have Reasons" won the American Kennel Club (AKC) Gazette 1999 Fiction contest, the short fiction category of the 1999 Dog Writers of America Association (DWAA) Annual Awards and the DWAA 1999 President's Award: "The Best of the Best."     Her short story, "Yesterday's Hero" won a third place in the Friends of the Sacramento Library Focus on Writers Children's Fiction.
